UOSFPA’s INFRASTRUCTURE
To become an Active Member of UOSFPA, a PGS Assam Organic Certificate is required. Only then will the member’s name be included in the Member Directory.
First, the farmer must complete online registration. After that, a formal MoU must be signed with the PGS Assam Authority. On the same day, the farmer must purchase the Member Directory from the PGS Assam Authority for a period of 2.5 years.
Second, as per the Directory, the farmer must carry out activities for 30 months in coordination with the JAIVIK ASSAM, Agriculture Autonomous Council of their respective area, strictly following the guidelines provided in the Directory.
After the completion of the 30-month work period, and following an additional 6 months of various evaluations/tests as per the No Carbon & Low Carbon Authority, the PGS Assam Organic Certificate will be approved.
